We come out, look at the water path, and measure what is actually there - not what was on the drawing. You get a fixed-price quote, not a range.
TroughDrain.ca is the trench drain practice inside MT Drains & Plumbing - the crew you call when surface water is breaking something it shouldn't.
TroughDrain.ca is a division of MT Drains & Plumbing Ltd., a Master Plumber-licensed drainage contractor that has been working the Greater Toronto Area since 1991. The same crew that handles full drainage, waterproofing, and plumbing scope at MT Drains is the crew installing your trench drain - we just put a dedicated front door on the trench drain work because most of our customers are searching for that specific problem.
If your job grows past the trench (interior weeping tile, exterior waterproofing, backwater valve, sump pump, drain replacement), we don't sub it out. It stays with the same company, the same warranty, and the same point of contact.
Trench drains sit at the intersection of plumbing, concrete, and site drainage. Most contractors treat them as a finishing touch - a channel dropped into a slab on the way out the door. We treat them as a system: channel, grate, slope, and tie-in - and we're opinionated about getting each part right.
TroughDrain.ca exists because the right answer for a flooded garage entrance, a restaurant kitchen line, or a commercial loading bay is rarely a generic kit off a shelf. It is a spec'd channel, the right grate for the load, slope you can verify with a level, and an outlet that actually moves water away from the building.
No estimates over the phone for jobs we haven't seen, no surprise add-ons after the saw is in the slab.
We come out, look at the water path, and measure what is actually there - not what was on the drawing. You get a fixed-price quote, not a range.
Channel material, grate load class, slope, and tie-in are all specified in writing before any work starts. No estimates, no ranges, no scope creep.
We cut, install, tie in, and finish the concrete or asphalt in-house. One company on site, one warranty when we leave.
We come back to inspect after the first heavy rain. If something is not draining the way we said it would, we fix it on our dollar - in writing.
We hold the licences and insurance the Province of Ontario requires for plumbing and drainage work, and we keep them current. If a permit or inspection is needed for your job, we handle it - we do not ask the homeowner to pull a permit on our behalf.
Tell us where the water is going wrong. We will come out, look at it, and quote a fixed price - no obligation.
